All Primary Schools in England have received  funding to promote Physical Education and School Sport within their settings.

Over the course of 2016/2017 the Sports Funding helps raise the profile of school sport.  Not only have the children benefitted from more opportunities to take part in cluster sports events  they will also benefit from subsidised travel to and from events and the renewal of sports equipment.  This year (2017) we have entered as many cluster run events as possible to ensure that our children get the opportunity to represent their school and to maintain last year's achievements of gaining the Gold sportsmark and Silver Quality Mark.  For more information on how we spend our funding and the impact that it has, please click on any of the links below:

As a school we recognise that this funding is not finite and as a result we have created a legacy that ensures that PE and school sport is embedded within our culture.  We acknowledge the benefits that having a healthy lifestyle and taking part in sporting events have on our children and this is an aspect of our school that we are keen to retain.  In addition to this members of staff are passionate about the teaching of PE, two of whom are primary PE specialists.
